Latino Victory Fund Congratulates Rob Menendez for Winning Congressional Democratic Primary in New Jersey 

Washington, D.C. – Latino Victory Fund congratulated Rob Menendez for winning the Democratic primary to represent New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District. 

“At this moment, we need more leaders in Congress like Rob Menendez who will fight for common-sense policies that will improve the lives of our communities,” said Nathalie Rayes, Latino Victory Fund president and CEO. “Rob is a lifelong New Jerseyan who understands the needs of the 8th District and will address the most pressing issues facing his constituents, including affordable housing, a livable minimum wage, helping parents with the cost of childcare and education, and protecting and expanding the Affordable Care Act. Latino Victory congratulates Rob for winning the Democratic primary and looks forward to working with him to ensure he heads to Congress in November.” 

Meet Rob Menendez 

  • Menendez was born and raised in Hudson County, New Jersey. He’s the grandson of Cuban immigrants and hardworking Union members and the son of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez. 
  • Menendez is counsel at the national law firm Lowenstein Sandler. In addition to his corporate practice, he has represented clients pro bono and served on the legal staff of the Lowenstein Center for the Public Interest. 
  • In addition to his legal practice, Menendez serves as a commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and as a trustee of The Hudson School in Hoboken, New Jersey. He earned an undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Rutgers Law School.
