Latino Victory Fund Marks the Anniversary of Roe v. Wade Overturn, Calls for Action to Stop MAGA Attacks on Reproductive Rights and Freedoms

Washington, DC — On the three-year anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, Latino Victory Fund reaffirms its unwavering commitment to fighting back against the MAGA-led assault on reproductive rights and freedoms.

Katharine Pichardo, President & CEO of Latino Victory Fund, issued the following statement:

“Three years ago, a right-leaning Supreme Court enabled by Donald Trump and the MAGA movement stripped millions of women of their constitutional right to make decisions about their bodies. This ruling has unleashed a dangerous wave of abortion bans, criminalization of reproductive healthcare, suffering, and even death. It has been felt most acutely by Latinas, Black women, immigrants, and working families in states where health care access is nearly impossible – and it’s a shame that in this country, our children now have fewer rights than did our parents.

We’ve seen the full MAGA agenda: to control our bodies, silence our communities, and dismantle the very rights that hold our democracy together. It’s a coordinated plan to roll back progress, criminalize dissent, and take power away from the people, especially women, people of color, and immigrants.

At Latino Victory Fund, we are fighting back on the ballot and at the ballot box by recruiting, supporting, and electing unapologetic champions who will codify reproductive rights and freedoms, defend our communities from political cruelty, and lead with courage and conviction.

When our communities are represented at the tables where decisions are made, we change the conversation—and the outcomes. This is about more than politics. It’s about our futures, our dignity, and our freedoms.

We will not be silent. We will not be intimidated. And we will not stop until every person, regardless of their background, ZIP code, or income, can access the health care they deserve. The only way forward is through organizing, mobilizing, and voting the extremists out of office who are packing the courts with like-minded justices. We will not go back.”

As the 2026 elections approach, Latino Victory Fund will continue to mobilize voters, uplift Latina voices, and endorse candidates committed to protecting reproductive freedoms and defending democracy.
