Pew Poll Demonstrates Need for Immigration Action

(Washington, D.C.)—Cristóbal Alex, President of the Latino Victory Project, released the following statement in reaction to new Pew Research Center poll that demonstrates the importance of immigration reform to Latino and Millennial voters.

“When Latinos go to the voting booth this year, they will be considering the candidates’ position on immigration and their willingness to find a path forward to legal status. With many close races this cycle and more Latinos poised to cast ballots than ever before, immigration could prove to be a deciding factor,” said Alex. “With Millennials also calling on both parties to be more open to a legal status, a vocal and sizable coalition is emerging.”

Founded by Eva Longoria and Henry R. Muñoz III, the Latino Victory Project engages Latino voters and Latino donors to support candidates and policy campaigns that reflect and advance American values such as immigration, education, healthcare, good jobs, a clean environment, and ultimately opportunity.
