Angélica is a finance associate at Latino Victory Project. She has an emerging track record in Latino civic engagement, organizational development, and political fundraising. She is a proud first-generation Latina with degrees in political science and transborder studies (immigration policy and economics), as well as a certificate in civic education from Arizona State University.
Her personal experiences with family separation and anti-immigrant policies, such as Arizona’s S.B. 1070, shaped her propensity for mobilizing communities to action and building Latino political power across the country. That is why Angélica has honed her community organizing, advocacy, and fundraising skills through her work with organizations and governmental institutions including the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, UnidosUS, Aliento Education Fund, the Obama Foundation, ACLU of Arizona, and the Arizona State Senate.
