“Today, we gathered Latino leaders from all across the country to develop strategies to protect our communities against Trump’s attacks as he prepared for his divisive address tonight,” said Cristóbal J. Alex, president of Latino Victory Fund. “Trump will be joined by several guests he handpicked to intimidate and distress our community. He continues to create an alternative reality where all immigrants are criminals, where all Muslims are terrorists, and where only his version is the truth. But it’s wrong. We’ve watched some of our own community leaders grow up to become the very role models we needed when we were younger. These are the leaders stepping up today to defend our communities and help us build Latino political power.”
