Washington, DC: Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association (DLGA) in partnership with Latino Victory Fund and Save Democracy PAC (SD PAC) announced that they will be spending $117,000 on three bilingual direct mail pieces in support of Lieutenant Governor Lisa Cano Burkhead. The program targets over 60,000 likely Latino voters in Clark County. This spending follows DLGA’s and SD PACs $500,000 TV ad campaign in the primary supporting Cano Burkhead.
The campaign highlights Cano Burkhead’s 25-year career in Nevada public schools and her work as Lt. Governor to grow Nevada’s economy, cut red tape for small businesses, and lower costs for working families.
You can view the direct mail pieces and also watch the TV Ad from the primary.
“Supporting incumbent leaders committed to preserving our democracy, creating world-class schools, and defending a woman’s right to choose is why we exist,” said Corey Platt, Senior Advisor to the DLGA for Independent Expenditures. “From day one, we have been proud to stand with Lisa. We are excited to partner with great organizations like SD PAC and Latino Victory Fund to win this race, so Lisa can continue delivering results for hard working Nevadans.”
“Nevada’s Latino voters are a powerful voting bloc, which is why we’re aiming to mobilize Clark County’s English and Spanish-speaking Latino voters in this competitive statewide race,” said Yvonne Gutierrez, managing director of Latino Victory Fund. “Lisa has spent her career breaking down barriers and expanding opportunities for our Latino community, and we want to ensure Latino voters turn out to vote for her. As lieutenant governor, Lisa has cut red tape for minority-owned businesses, supported our public schools, and is investing in Nevada’s workforce. Lisa is exactly the kind of leader our community needs.”
“Save Democracy PAC proudly supported Lisa Cano Burkhead in her Primary election and we are committed to doing everything in our power to ensure Lisa succeeds again in November,” said Matt Liebman, President of SD PAC. “As Lt. Governor Lisa has proven that she will take on the tough fights and protect the fundamental rights of all Nevadans.”
