In response to the Washington Post’s analysis of the 2018 midterm elections, Young People Actually rocked the vote in 2018, new Census Bureau data finds, Latino Victory Fund Communications Director Javier Gamboa issued the following statement:

“Data clearly shows that the increase of Latino voter participation in the country’s most competitive congressional districts was one of the main reasons why Democrats took back the House in the 2018 election cycle,” said Latino Victory Fund Communications Director Javier Gamboa. “The proof is in the pudding: Latino voter participation will continue to increase if Democrats continue to invest early and often in Latino voter outreach, make the necessary investments to register eligible Latino voters across the country, and present concrete policy solutions that will help Latinos get ahead. That’s how we expand the majority in the House, take back the Senate and deliver a massive defeat to President Trump.”
