Washington, D.C. – Latino Victory Fund congratulates its endorsed candidates for winning their respective races in the Massachusetts primary election. The candidates are Adam Gomez, Massachusetts State Senate, Hampden District; Andy Vargas, Massachusetts House of Representatives, 3rd Essex District; and Jon Santiago, Massachusetts State House of Representatives, 9th Suffolk District.

Latino Victory is proud to stand with Adam, Andy and Jon to ensure they are victorious in November.”
Latino Victory Fund is working to galvanize Latino voters across the country in the 2020 election and support Latino candidates up and down the ballot in states with emerging Latino populations like Massachusetts. The candidate slate also includes potential historic elections.
Meet the Massachusetts Candidates:
Adam Gomez, Sr. – Massachusetts State Senate, Hampden District
Gomez is a three-term Springfield City councilor first elected in 2015 and an advocate for social justice issues such as immigrant rights, education, and civil rights. If elected, Gomez would be the first Latino and first Puerto Rican Senator in the Massachusetts Senate.
Andy Vargas – Massachusetts House of Representatives, 3rd Essex District
Vargas was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives at 24, the youngest Latino, and overall one of the youngest elected to the House. He’s an advocate for youth development and violence prevention.
Jon Santiago – Massachusetts State House of Representatives, 9th Suffolk District
Santiago was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018, and he works and cares for underserved communities as an emergency physician at Boston Medical Center.
