Washington, D.C.—Latino Victory Fund is proud to announce the endorsement of U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez, candidate for U.S. Senate in California. Sanchez currently represents California’s 46th Congressional District.
“Congresswoman Sanchez has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the Latino community in her district and beyond,” said Cristóbal Alex, Latino Victory Fund president. “Latino Victory Fund is proud to stand by her side as she takes the next important step that can lead to a critical milestone for our community—to elect the first Latina U.S. Senator.”
“Congresswoman Sanchez has championed issues that the Latino community cares about, including working to improve the economy, to ensure that our children receive access to quality education and that our communities have a clean, safe environment. Her hard work and dedication has earned the respect of her constituents in California and of her peers in Congress. Congresswoman Sanchez is the Latina we need in the U.S. Senate,” says Alex.
“I’m truly honored to have the support of the Latino Victory Fund whose distinguished and diverse leadership includes champions of the environment, education, civil rights and labor, issues that have been a priority for me in the Congress and will continue to be in the U.S. Senate,” said Rep. Loretta Sanchez. “Our state and nation face the challenges of economic inequality, the growing consequences of climate change, stalled immigration reform, and a national defense tested by the threat of terrorism. The next U.S. Senator should not only have the proven legislative and national security experience needed; the candidate should also share the life experiences of everyday Californians – that’s what makes me the best candidate for the job.”
