WASHINGTON – Today, Latino Victory Fund congratulates Julie Chávez Rodríguez for being named President Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign manager. Chávez Rodríguez is currently the highest-ranking Latina official in the Biden-Harris White House.
Nathalie Rayes, Latino Victory Fund President and CEO, released the following statement:
“Today, President Biden has made an incredible choice. Julie Chávez Rodríguez is a trailblazer in American politics and a shining example of Latino political power in action. As President Biden’s campaign manager for his 2024 re-election campaign, she will be the first Latina to hold this position. We are confident that the campaign will soar under her leadership.
“Julie will bring her wealth of experience in Democratic politics, including her advocacy for farm workers and immigrant communities, to lead President Biden to victory in 2024. Her experience is extensive, having worked in President Obama’s administration, then-California Senator Kamala Harris’s office, later serving on Vice President Harris’s 2020 presidential campaign, and most recently as senior adviser and director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
“We also welcome the news that Congresswoman Veronica Escobar will serve as a national co-chair of the re-election campaign. This is a signal that President Biden is not taking the Latino community for granted. Congresswoman Escobar and Julie’s deep ties to the community combined with their unparalleled leadership will be key in ensuring that Latinos come out to vote in 2024. Latino Victory Fund is excited for Julie, who will build a historic campaign, and thanks her for her continued service to our country.”
