Latino Victory Fund Endorsed Regina Montoya for Dallas Mayor

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Latino Victory Fund endorsed Regina Montoya, candidate for mayor of the City of Dallas. If elected, Montoya will become the first Latina mayor of Dallas and the first Latina to govern a major U.S. city.

Latino Victory Fund Interim President Melissa Mark-Viverito issued the following statement on Regina Montoya’s endorsement:

“Regina Montoya has dedicated her entire career working to improve the lives of Dallas’ hardworking families. From fighting to end poverty and fostering economic opportunity for all as the chair of the Mayor’s Task Force on Poverty to working closely with the Dallas Independent School District to improve the education of every child regardless of zip code, Regina Montoya is undoubtedly the best candidate for Mayor. It’s about time that Dallas had a mayor that reflects the city’s rich diversity, and that we elect the first Latina mayor of a major U.S. city.”
