Washington, D.C. — Today, Latino Victory Fund announced the endorsement of State Rep. César Blanco for Texas Senate, District 29. A Navy veteran and seasoned Texas legislator, Blanco announced his candidacy shortly after Latino Victory launched its Run, César, Run! draft campaign in September.
Latino Victory Fund Executive Director Mayra Macías issued the following statement:
“César Blanco has a commendable track record of fighting and delivering on the issues that matter most to his El Paso constituents in the Texas House. There’s no doubt that he’ll take that same fight to the state Senate. Whether he’s fighting for resources for Texas veterans, working to lower health care and prescription drug prices and expanding economic opportunities for hardworking people, El Pasoens can count on César to get the job done. That’s why Latino Victory Fund ran a draft campaign urging him to run for this seat last year, and that’s why today we’re proudly endorsing César Blanco for Texas Senate District 29.”
