Washington, D.C. — Commenting on Carlos Giménez announcing his candidacy for the Republican primary for Florida’s 26th Congressional District, Latino Victory Fund Executive Director Mayra Macías issued the following statement:
“Republican Carlos Giménez stained his term in office with unbridled corruption and cash grabs for his family at the expense of Miami-Dade taxpayers’ hard-earned money. Our country is facing one of the most corrupt and despotic presidents in history, and the last thing Congress needs is another Trump acolyte like Corrupt Carlos Gimenez roaming its halls. Giménez’s legacy will forever be that he enriched himself, his family, and his friends with millionaire government contracts while he made life harder for hundreds of working families.
Macías added: “South Florida voters deserve a champion who will have their best interests at heart, not a selfish politician who is willing to betray his constituents for money.
