Today, Latino Victory Fund launched its first GOTV Spanish-language television ad of the 2020 election cycle, urging New York Latino voters to cast their vote for Melissa Mark-Viverito for Public Advocate. The ad highlights Mark-Viverito’s track record of fighting for New Yorkers. Spanish-language voters will also hear how Melissa Mark-Viverito championed the IDNYC — a municipal ID for all New York City residents regardless of immigration status — as Speaker of the City Council.
The ad will air on New York City’s Telemundo and Univision through election day.
“From a community organizer to serving as the first and only Latina Speaker of the New York City Council, Melissa Mark-Viverito has been an unequivocal champion for all New Yorkers,” said Latino Victory Fund President Cristobal J. Alex. “New York voters — especially Latino voters — will make history this Tuesday when they elect Melissa Mark-Viverito as the first Latina Public Advocate.”
