Latino Victory Fund Launches “Our Champions” — A First-Of-Its-Kind Latino Incumbent Protection Program

Washington, D.C. — Today, Latino Victory Fund launched an unprecedented incumbent protection program called “Our Champions.” This first-of-its-kind program for the organization will focus on protecting the Latino members of Congress that flipped competitive districts from red to blue in the 2018 midterm election. LVF is also unveiling a new website dedicated to the program: https://www.ourchampions2020.com.

The five members composing LVF’s “Our Champions” program are:

  • CA-39: Gil Cisneros

  • CA-49: Mike Levin

  • FL-26: Debbie Mucarsel-Powell

  • NM-02: Xochitl Torres Small

  • NY-19: Antonio Delgado

Latino Victory Fund Executive Director Mayra Macías issued the following statement:

“Representatives Gil Cisneros, Mike Levin, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, Xochitl Torres Small and Antonio Delgado are our community’s voice in Washington. They are all working to ensure that Latinos are fully represented and to enact policies that support hardworking families in their district and across the country.  Now more than ever, we need their diverse backgrounds and perspectives in the halls of Congress. That is why Latino Victory Fund is fully committed to making sure we do everything in our power to help re-elect them and to protect and expand the Democratic majority in 2020.
