Latino Victory Fund Launches Six-Figure Ad Buy in Support of First Latinas Candidates in Texas

Washington, D.C.  Latino Victory Fund announced its latest digital and radio ad buy in support of its First Latinas candidates in Texas. The ad buy includes digital and radio ads in Spanish that highlights Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Texas Attorney General candidate Rochelle Garza’s record on fighting for working families, protecting reproductive health and voting rights in Texas.

The radio ad in support of Hidalgo and Garza will air in the Hidalgo media market until Election Day. The digital ads will run on platforms including Facebook and Instagram encouraging Latino voters to vote for Garza, Hidalgo and Michelle Vallejo, candidate for Texas’s 15th Congressional District, “to stop the attacks on women, our schools and our community.”

Statement from Yvonne Gutierrez, managing director, Latino Victory Fund:
“Texas Republicans’ attacks on abortion access, voting rights, and on Latino and immigrant communities have made it crystal clear that the stakes of the midterm elections couldn’t be higher. We are reaching out to key constituencies in Harris and Hidalgo counties to make sure they know they have an opportunity to elect new leaders. Lina Hidalgo, Rochelle Garza, Michelle Vallejo are proven Latina leaders who are fighting against attacks on reproductive freedom, voting rights, and working to keep our children safe in schools. Latino Victory Fund is committed to helping transform Texas politics and making history by helping elect more Latinas to public office, including Rochelle Garza as Texas first attorney general and Michelle Vallejo as the first Latina to represent Texas’s 15th Congressional District.”

Following the panel, Latino Victory Fund hosted a rally for Judge Lina Hidalgo, attended by Miranda, U.S. Representatives Silvia Garcia and Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas. The GOTV rally in support of Hidalgo’s re-election was held at Bohemeo’s at Houston’s historic East End.
