Washington, D.C. — Following the Senate’s vote to block President Trump’s national emergency, Latino Victory Fund Communications Director Javier Gamboa issued the following statement:
“The Senate’s vote to block President Trump’s manufactured national emergency to push for a costly and unpopular border wall is a blunt reminder that the only national emergency is Trump himself. It was the Trump administration that separated children from their parents and locked them in cages, and now he’s abusing his power and robbing billions of dollars from our military for his vanity project. President Trump does not have the best interest in mind for the American people and if he decides to veto this bipartisan bill, it will not go unchecked.”
