Latino Victory Fund Proudly Congratulates Isabel Guzman on Her Confirmation as SBA Administrator

Washington, D.C. – Latino Victory Fund is excited to congratulate Isabel Guzman on her confirmation as Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator. Nathalie Rayes, President and CEO of Latino Victory Fund, issued the following statement:

“Isabel Guzman will be a tremendous asset to the Biden-Harris administration as it continues its efforts to reinvigorate the economy. The economic devastation caused by the pandemic unearthed the racial disparities that small business owners in the Latino community and communities of color face every day, a clear indication that we need more leaders representing these communities at the table where economic policies are implemented. We need a visionary leader and advocate like Isabel who will help small businesses to get back on their feet and ensure communities of color, especially Latinos, continue growing their small businesses and building generational wealth. Latino Victory proudly congratulates Isabel Guzman on her confirmation.”

In January, Latino Victory joined a coalition of national Latino groups, Proyecto20% to express concern and demand the end to the GOP’s ‘foot-dragging’ on Latino cabinet nominees confirmations, including Administrator Isabel Guzman. Latino Victory continues to advocate for the fair and swift confirmation of California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who would be the first Latino to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
