Washington, D.C. – Latino Victory Fund President & CEO Nathalie Rayes issued the following statement after the final presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden:
“With only 12 days until Election Day, it is strikingly clear that Vice President Biden won the election’s closing argument. Vice President Biden showed the American people that, when he is elected, our nation will once again have a qualified, competent president at the helm. Trump did what he does best–blame everyone for his failures and devalue the presidency with lies.
“Voters want a president who will take the job seriously and show up every day to work to ensure our families and communities thrive. Tonight, Vice President Biden reminded us that he will work to root out racial inequality, protect health care access for millions of Americans, create an economy where all families can thrive, and fight climate change to safeguard our collective future. Our country is exhausted from hearing Trump’s lies, but we’re ready to elect a leader who will govern with reason, compassion, and a formidable work ethic, and that leader is Vice President Biden.”
In February, the Latino Victory Fund became the first national Latino organization to endorse Vice President Biden.
