“Trump and the Republican Senate’s reckless decision to rush this confirmation goes against the American people’s wishes. Issues that affect millions of Americans’ lives are on the line, including access to health care, immigration reform and protection for Dreamers, LGBTQ equality, and voting rights, which is why the nomination process must not turn into a last-minute power play. Voters across the country are casting their ballots as we speak, and the only way we can fully do justice to our democratic process is for the Senate to confirm a nominee until after inauguration.”
