Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders announced that he is suspending his campaign for president of the United States. Latino Victory Fund Executive Director Mayra Macías issued the following statement:
“Senator Sanders’ campaign demonstrated the power of investing in Latino voters and centering the voices of young people of color. We must now build on the progress made by the Sanders campaign and ensure Latinos across the country are mobilized to defeat Trump.
“As we approach the most consequential election of our lifetimes, we look forward to seeing Senator Sanders continue fighting the good fight.
