Latino Victory Project Announces New Political Director

Washington, D.C. – Latino Victory Project announces the hire of Cesar Blanco as Political Director.

Cristóbal J. Alex, President of Latino Victory Project released the following statement:

“We are thrilled to have Cesar on our team. Cesar’s work managing campaigns and his years as a Chief of Staff for several Members of Congress will help us advance our goal of creating Latino political power by electing more Latinos to public office and increasing the political participation of Hispanics throughout the United States. Cesar, who is himself an elected official, will be key in our efforts to push back on anti-immigrant and anti-Latino candidates, and ensure that Latino priorities are at the forefront of the 2016 elections. Cesar will help take Latino Victory Project to the next level.”

Cesar Blanco’s bio:

Cesar is serving his first term as a State Representative for Texas House District 76 in El Paso, Texas. He was named by Texas Monthly Magazine as one of the best legislators in Texas. Cesar served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Pete Gallego. Previously he served as the Arizona State Director for Obama for America for the 2012 Presidential Election. He was the Western Region Political Director for the Democratic National Committee (DNC), serving as the Democratic Party’s principal liaison and political advisor for the West while working with 13 state parties and coordinating with the White House, Cabinet members, and the DNC Chair and Vice Chairs. In 2010, he managed the campaign of Congressman Ciro Rodriguez (TX-23) and previously served the Congressman in a variety of capacities, including Chief of Staff and District Director. He is a former Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18) of Houston and Caseworker and Field Representative for Congressman Silvestre Reyes (TX-16) from El Paso. Cesar served as a Congressional Relations Officer for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and started his career as a Military Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Navy. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso.
