Latino Victory Project Celebrates the Beginning of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

WASHINGTON – Today, Latino Victory Project President and CEO Nathalie Rayes released the following statement to honor the beginning of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month:

“Latino Victory Project is proud to celebrate and honor the contributions that Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have made to shape our country and enrich our culture. At Latino Victory Project, we understand the importance of celebrating the sacrifices and achievements of Asian American and Pacific Islanders throughout our country’s history. This month signals the necessity of working together in the fight for increased political representation for people of all backgrounds. Now, more than ever, we must stand with our allies and fellow people of color to tell our diverse stories and flex our collective power.

“This AAPI Heritage Month and all year long, we must commit to fighting hate, racism and xenophobia in the AAPI community—and ensure our allyship is strong.”
