Latino Victory Project Marks First Year in Office of Biden-Harris Administration

Washington, D.C. — Latino Victory President and CEO Nathalie Rayes issued the following statement on the Biden-Harris Administration’s first-year accomplishments:

“President Biden and Vice President Harris have worked tirelessly to steer our country in the right direction, and they have made steady progress. In just one year, our country has seen unprecedented job growth with 6.4 million jobs added and record low unemployment rates. We’ve also seen vital health care expansion, recovery aid for small businesses, and assistance for working families with children during the pandemic. Our economy and jobs sector have grown rapidly thanks in great part to President Biden’s American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which are helping create more jobs and repair our infrastructure.

“While it is important to recognize the Biden-Harris administration’s achievements during year one as they have had a positive impact in our country, we also acknowledge that there is still a lot of work to be done. It’s critical that President Biden and Vice President Harris continue to tackle issues that disproportionately impact communities of color, such as immigration, education and voting rights. We also look forward to seeing the Biden-Harris administration continue working with Congress to pass the Build Back Better agenda and fight for progress in the years ahead.”
