WASHINGTON – Today, the Supreme Court issued its ruling on U.S. v. Texas. Latino Victory Project Executive Director, Sindy Benavides, issued the following statement:
“The Supreme Court ruled Texas lacks standing to sue against the Biden Administration’s immigration policy. We commend the Supreme Court for addressing the lackluster legal argument by Texas and Louisiana. Latinos support a fair and just immigration system. While legal challenges inevitably continue, we must fight for comprehensive immigration reform. Immigrants are critical to the fabric of this nation and our economy. Latino Victory Project, alongside our partners and allies, understands the plight of immigrants. We are committed to supporting public servants who will fight for the humanity of immigrants and support comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship.”
