Latino Victory Project Statement Commemorating International Women’s Day

Washington, D.C – Latino Victory Project President and CEO Nathalie Rayes issued the following statement commemorating International Women’s Day:

“On this International Women’s Day, we honor the remarkable women around the world and the leaders in our community who are determined to fight for the protection and advancement of women’s rights. Women are the backbone of our society, and their contributions to our history, economy, and politics are immeasurable.

“That’s why Latino Victory is working to ensure Latinas are agents and active participants in shaping our political future. We also renew our call to action to fight for a world where all women and girls, especially Latinas, are empowered and have equal access to education, economic opportunities, health care, and complete control over their lives and bodies. Today and every day, we stand in solidarity with women across the world who fight on the frontline against injustice and oppression.”
