Latino Victory Project Statement on 2015 State of the Union Address

(Washington, D.C.) –Cristóbal Alex, President of Latino Victory Project, released the following statement in response to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address to Congress and the Nation:

“I am encouraged by President Obama’s road map to shrink inequality and grow access to opportunity. I’m hopeful that Congress will spend their time developing solutions to advance our nation, and end the politics of division that occupied so much of their time in the past two years. The Latino community is watching, and we want progress.

“The Latino Victory Project continues to fight for the values that Latinos hold dear, because they are American values—access to affordable education, quality health care, a clean environment, good-paying jobs and comprehensive immigration reform. We urge Congress to stand with us in fighting for policies that will strengthen families across the country.”
