Washington, DC – Latino Victory Project is proud to welcome Oscar Ramirez to our National Committee. The National Committee is comprised of founding partners who help chart the course for the organization. Together, these members represent the diversity of our country, serving a strategic role in helping to identify Latino leaders across the country to run for office.
Cristóbal J. Alex, President of Latino Victory Project said, “We are very happy and proud to welcome Oscar Ramirez to our National Committee. Oscar is a fantastic political operative with a breadth of experience and we are lucky to have him on board. Aside from his fantastic political work, Oscar has also been a mentor for many young Latinos looking to engage in politics, and has helped launch many Latinos’ political careers. We are looking forward to having Oscar’s input, knowledge, and critical eye as we work to increase Latino political representation and participation across the country.”
Oscar Ramirez said, “It’s a privilege to be joining the Latino Victory Project on their National Committee. What EMILY’s List is to electing women and the Victory Fund to electing LGBT candidates, the Latino Victory Project is to Latinos. It’s the springboard that will launch the political careers of Latinos around the country – from city councils and state legislatures to Governorships and U.S. Senators. One day in the near future, we may even help send the first Latino to the White House. I look forward to helping the Latino Victory Project build on their efforts to politically empower the Hispanic community.”
