Latino Victory Statement on the Bipartisan Impeachment of President Trump

Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the article of impeachment charging President Trump of inciting violence against the U.S. government, making him the first president in history to be impeached twice. Latino Victory Fund president & CEO Nathalie Rayes issued the following statement on the impeachment vote:

“Democrats in the U.S. House sent a powerful signal to the American people—Trump will be held accountable for his attack on our government. They showed remarkable fortitude even as they recovered from the horrific attack that threatened their lives. Trump’s second impeachment is a fitting end to a disgraced president who built his presidency out of lies and hate. Latino Victory commends the House Democrats for their heroic stance and for protecting our democracy. They are truly our last line of defense in this attempted coup.”
