Latino Victory Fund Thanks Vice President Biden for His Work on Behalf of Latinos

Washington, DC – The following is a statement from Cristóbal J. Alex, President of Latino Victory Fund:

“We want to thank Vice President Biden for his work fighting on behalf of the Latino community. In 2014, the Vice President joined with us from coast to coast to campaign for Latino candidates in California, Florida, and Texas because he believes in growing our community’s political power and he knows we need more Latino representation in government to ensure that the voice of our community is heard.

“Vice President Biden has been a champion for our families and has stood for Latino values even when it wasn’t politically expedient.

“A few weeks ago the Vice President came to our office to remind us that that the hateful rhetoric we’re seeing from some Presidential candidates does not reflect the overall feelings of the American people. He asked us to stand up and straighten our shoulders, to make no apologies and to be proud of our heritage and of the work we’ve done.

“It has been an honor to work with Vice President Biden, and we look forward to continuing our joint fight to empower the Latino community and elect more Latinos across the country.”

Thank you
