Cástulo de la Rocha joined AltaMed Health Services—then La Clínica Familiar del Barrio—as Executive Director in 1977 and has since led its transformation from a storefront clinic in East Los Angeles into one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in the nation. As President and CEO of AltaMed, de la Rocha leads a team of more than 3,000 employees who oversee more than 400,000 patients and managed care members across AltaMed’s network of medical, dental, and PACE sites throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties. He received his B.A. in Political Science from U.C. Santa Barbara and his J.D. from Berkeley Law and currently serves on the Health Tech 4 Medicaid Expert Council. de la Rocha is also a Board Member Emeritus for National Medical Fellowships.
