María R. González is currently the Operations Director at Latino Victory. A Texas border native, González has worked as a reporter in The Rio Grande Guardian, covering the U.S.-Mexico border, and as an outreach coordinator and press secretary for U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo. She has worked for Latino Victory Project since 2014, handling a vast array of duties, including communications, events, and administration. María is a writer who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Texas A&M International University and a Master of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication from Texas State University.
