With Early Voting Beginning on Saturday, Latino Victory Project Reminds Nevada Latinos to Make Their Voices Heard

Washington, D.C. — With early voting beginning on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Nevada, Latino Victory Project President Cristóbal Alex today urged Latinos across the state to make sure their voices are heard on Election Day.

“It is critical that Nevada Latinos take advantage of early voting during this year’s midterm elections,” said Alex. “Building power across the country begins with casting ballots, and early voting is an easy way to ensure that more Latinos’ voices are represented in Nevada this year than ever before.”

A 2012 Pew report notes that there are 268,000 Hispanic eligible voters in Nevada, making it the 13th largest Hispanic eligible voter population nationally.

According to the Nevada Secretary of State, eligible voters can vote at any location in their respective county where early voting is offered. The early voting period in Nevada lasts from Saturday, October 18th through Friday, October 31st. For a list of the county-by-county early voting locations and times, click here.
