Washington, D.C.—Latino Victory Fund announced a six-figure ad campaign totaling $250,000 supporting Annette Taddeo for Congress and Karla Hernández for lieutenant governor, two of Florida’s most high-profile races.
“Latino voters will be decisive in races up and down the ballot in Florida,” said Yvonne Gutierrez, Latino Victory Fund managing director. “These ads are key investments that will help mobilize Latino voters to support two top-of-ticket, phenomenal Latina candidates, Annette Taddeo for Congress and Karla Hernández for lieutenant governor.”
The six-figure ad campaign in favor of Taddeo, whom Latino Victory endorsed ahead of the primary election, includes two digital video ads focused on Taddeo’s Republican opponent and one digital video ad uplifting Taddeo, and static digital ads. The six-figure ads to boost Hernández aim to mobilize Latino voters in central Florida with an English-language digital video ad, Spanish-language radio ads, and static digital ads. All digital ads are running on digital video and streaming platforms, as well as Facebook and Instagram.
Gutierrez added, “Senator Taddeo’s a formidable, experienced candidate who sprinted to the top contender position to flip the 27th Congressional District Democratic, and we’ve ramped up efforts to mobilize Latino voters to ensure she makes it across the finish line. Karla’s a dedicated leader with a solid background in education who will fight for Florida’s families and workers as lieutenant governor. We want Latino voters to know what’s at stake in this election and that they can choose to elect Latina Democrats who will fight for Florida’s families instead of GOP extremists who supported an insurrection and are damaging Florida’s schools.”

The digital ad buys are part of Latino Victory’s efforts to increase Democratic Latino representation in Florida and mobilize Latino voters to vote for Latino Democratic candidates in the 2022 midterm elections. Last week, Latino Victory hosted a series of GOTV and campaign events in Miami, including a GOTV rally featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Annette Taddeo, Karla Hernández, and other Latino candidates at Books and Books. The rally was emceed by Latino Victory Fund’s president and CEO Nathalie Rayes and also headlined by the organization’s endorsed-candidates Maxwell Frost, CD-10; A.J. D’Amico, HD-113; and Janelle Perez, SD-28. In addition, Luis A. Miranda, Jr., Latino Victory board chair, and Laphonza Butler, EMILY’s List president, were also present to rally Latinos to vote.
