Latino Victory Fund Announced Five-Figure Spanish Radio Ad Campaigns in Top Competitive Races for Congress in Colorado and New Mexico

The organization also ran digital ads supporting Andrea Salinas for Oregon’s 6th Congressional District and Tony Vargas for Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District

Washington, D.C.— Latino Victory Fund announced five-figure radio ad campaigns to support Latino candidates in two competitive congressional races in New Mexico and Colorado. The ads are in support of  Dr. Yadira Caraveo for Colorado’s 8th Congressional District and Gabe Vasquez for New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, and they will run up until Election Day.

The radio ad running in New Mexico is titled “Recordar” and highlights the influence Vasquez’s childhood had on his work ethic, noting that in Congress, he will work hard for New Mexicans to build a robust and fair economy and expand healthcare and childcare access. The radio ad running in Colorado is titled “¡Qué Bárbara!” and focuses on Caraveo’s opponent’s extreme stances, such as wanting to eliminate environmental protections and Medicare. The ad highlights Caraveo’s support for access to health care and reproductive freedom and notes that she has always defended Colorado’s families.

“Latino voters will be the deciding factor in competitive races for Congress, and their support will be crucial in helping Democrats hold the line in the U.S. House,” said Yvonne Gutierrez, managing director of Latino Victory Fund. “With these radio ads, we want to reach Spanish-speaking Latinos in competitive races to ensure they turn out to vote and that they vote for leaders who will fight for their families.

“Dr. Yadira Caraveo is an experienced legislator and physician with a wealth of experience in her field and a passion for serving her community. Gabe Vasquez has dedicated his career to public service and will fight to strengthen our economy and ensure New Mexico’s families have access to quality, affordable healthcare. The stakes are high in this election, and New Mexico and Colorado voters have the power to elect leaders who will work hard for their communities.”

Latino Victory Fund also ran digital ads supporting Andrea Salinas for Oregon’s 6th Congressional District and Tony Vargas for Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District. Both are competitive races where Latino voters can be the deciding factor in the margin of victory.
