WASHINGTON – Today, Latino Victory Fund congratulates Mayor Regina Romero for her victory in the Tucson mayoral primary race. Mayor Romero will advance to the general election and continue her fight for a second term serving as the first woman and as the first Latina mayor of Tucson.

Mayor Romero is a champion for her constituents, playing a leading role in creating the Transform Tucson Fund and AVANZA Revolving Loan Fund for under-represented minorities. Mayor Romero is also the Chair of the Latino Alliance of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and Co-Chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns as well as an Inaugural Member of the Mayor’s Alliance to End Childhood Hunger.
