Washington, D.C. – Today, Latino Victory Fund endorsed Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García for Mayor of Chicago.
Nathalie Rayes, Latino Victory Fund president and CEO, released the following statement: “We’re endorsing Jesús “Chuy” García because, throughout his career, he has consistently prioritized the issues that matter to Latinos. Chicago’s thriving Latino community has shaped the city’s economy and culture for decades, which is why electing a Latino mayor will be a historic moment for all Chicagoans. Chuy will work to unite all communities and champion policies that will create a more prosperous Chicago where the doors of opportunity are open for everyone. We’re proud to stand alongside Chuy García for better jobs, safer communities, accessible health care, and ensuring our Democracy works for everyone.”

Latino Victory Fund’s endorsement comes just weeks after IUOE Local 150 committed $1 million to García’s campaign. Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García has received over 10 key endorsements since formally launching his campaign for mayor of Chicago.
