WASHINGTON – Today, Latino Victory Project celebrates the one year anniversary of the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a critical legislation to address inflation, lower health care costs, and take bold action on the climate crisis. Latino Victory Project Executive Director, Sindy Benavides, released the following statement:
“The IRA is a landmark piece of legislation that has benefited millions of Latinos across the country by creating economic opportunity, lowering the price of prescription drugs, and tackling the climate crisis head on. It represents the most significant climate and clean energy investment in the nation’s history—an issue that disproportionately impacts the Latino community. We have already felt the positive impacts of the IRA putting much needed money and resources back into our communities, and look forward to the long-term benefits of this historic investment.”
